Practices vary, but many clinicians and housing offices treat ESA documentation as current for about one year. Official ESA Letter issues letters that are valid for one year from the purchase date when a letter is approved. That gives a clear window for planning.
Renewal is a new review
Renewal is not a rubber stamp. It is another clinical evaluation. The clinician still decides whether a letter is appropriate. If it is not, a refund policy applies under our published terms.
